Notes from the Principal

Today, October 15th is Blog Action Day. There are over 15,000 blogs writing about the environment. I don’t even remember how I found the website but I was very happy I did. I have lived on an organic farm for over 30 years and I am very conscious of the impact on the environment our way of life causes. I try to do as much as I can to reduce my own carbon footprint. this includes combining errands to reduce trips into town (a tank of gasoline usually lasts a month). All of our lights are carbon flourescents (it reduced our electric bill $11.00 the month after I switched all of them). I hope all of you are trying to do your part as well.

Taking classes online at Eclectic Academy is a painless way to be kind to the environment. You learn in the privacy of your own home. You won’t need fuel for the car and there are no books to buy. If you want to print your lessons out you can use recycled paper.

The older I become the more important the environment is to me. I am trying to do my part to help.

We will be taking part in
Blog Action Day

It seems the older you get the faster the time goes. Fall begins in 3 days and we are working diligently on updating the school site as well as adding a new feature or two.

Welcome to Eclectic Academy Online School’s NEW News Blog. It occurred to me that the proliferation of spam software may be causing many of you to miss the announcement emails that are sent out regarding new online classes each semester. Now, that same info will be posted here. I hope this will make it easier for you to see what EA has to offer in its upcoming semesters. This will also be the spot to look for updates to the school and information about the instructors.
