Today, October 15th is Blog Action Day. There are over 15,000 blogs writing about the environment. I don’t even remember how I found the website but I was very happy I did. I have lived on an organic farm for over 30 years and I am very conscious of the impact on the environment our way of life causes. I try to do as much as I can

to reduce my own carbon footprint. this includes combining errands to reduce trips into town (a tank of gasoline usually lasts a month). All of our lights are carbon flourescents (it reduced our electric bill $11.00 the month after I switched all of them). I hope all of you are trying to do your part as well.

Taking classes online at Eclectic Academy is a painless way to be kind to the environment. You learn in the privacy of your own home. You won’t need fuel for the car and there are no books to buy. If you want to print your lessons out you can use recycled paper.

I’m not sure if Blog Action Day 2008 will be about the environment again or not. But I really like the concept.
